WHO ARE WE?

Veritas Productions is a female-owned, multi-faceted, full-service production company specializing in musical theatrical productions from small scale cabarets to fully-staged, Broadway musicals.

Our mission is to cultivate theatrical distinction in Colorado’s vibrant performing arts community through our commitment to Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, and Community (E.P.I.C. Standards) - we’re raising the bar one production at a time.

Veritas Productions LLC was founded in 2019 by long-time artists and best friends, Amy Condon and Nancy Evans Begley. Their journey of performing, directing, and creating together for well over a decade inspired the two to take their passion for their community and the arts one major step further through venturing into the full-scale production space. Combined, the two have over 50 years of professional theatrical and vocal experience, spanning from solo concerts to full-scale Broadway musicals.

Veritas Productions specializes in taking any production from conception to realization. We partner with Colorado's finest directors, designers, choreographers, public relations and marketing experts, and our community leaders, bringing a deep need for meaningful art, flawless execution, and exquisite talent to our audiences. We can manage an entire project from start to finish or consult and hire any facet of a fully-staged production of any size.

The company name was a collaborative infusion of the need for truth and transparency in the creative and performing arts, hence Veritas, the Latin word for truth: “Truth is mighty and will prevail.” For all of you Potterheads out there, it’s also why Veritas Serum has the name it does - the truth potion!

 FAQs

  • Veritas Productions LLC does not discriminate based on age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, or disability (visible or invisible). We are committed to fair casting and contract practices and will have an EDI consultant present at all casting and audition events and discussions. We will work to ensure equitable access to all communications, announcements, events, and programming and welcome anyone to submit their candidacy to any of our productions.

  • We believe that the human condition and fabric is made up of fully-whole, beautiful, talented individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical appearance, or physical abilities. We are committed to considering all people for any role if they are able to perform the work as written by the creators of the piece. We also commit to honoring the ethnic and cultural heritage of many roles in the creative space and will work with our EDI Director and communities to cast these roles appropriately. We ask in return that artists honor and understand that everyone’s definition of “best for the role” is different and subjective. Individuals must not only be able to do the work on the page, they must fit the chemistry of the rest of the cast, be available to work when called, behave professionally and kindly to all people, and come prepared at all points in the process, among other considerations.

We also believe in transparency and integrity in all we do and commit to all of our artists to act with clear, concise, and honest communications through every aspect of the casting process from audition announcement to final offers. All artists will receive communication at the time of their audition about our anticipated casting turnaround time, and all artists will hear back from us of the outcome of their audition via email before a formal cast announcement is made. Additionally, should we have a need to extend our turnaround time, all actors will be notified of any adjustments. We will also notify all artists in the initial audition announcement of any roles that may be precast. We hold an “open door” policy with our artists as well and will provide any feedback requested by any artists at any time. We do this to honor the people we work with, their time, their commitments, and their hearts.

  • We believe in an ensemble approach to all theatrical endeavors and do not place greater weight on any single individual, regardless of their role. Our compensation philosophy encompasses not only an individual’s specific role, but the amount of time they will spend in the rehearsal room and on stage. This may mean that some ensemble members earn more than a principal actor and vice versa, depending on the show. Compensation details will be clearly accessible and available to all artists at the time of the audition announcement. We commit to equitable and market-based compensation for all artistic team members, stage and production managers, and designers. Please note, we currently do not offer any union contracts, and pay scales are at a non-union rate.
